Thanks to TikTok, buccal fat removal is trending. This procedure has become very popular. However, there are buccal fat removal alternatives that may be better for some patients. Here’s what you should know.

What is Buccal Fat Removal?

Buccal fat removal is a way to sculpt the cheek area and define the jawline by removing the small pockets of fat. The buccal fat pads are located in the cheek hollows, between the jawbone and cheekbone. They cushion the buccinator and masseter muscles, which are necessary for speech and chewing.
