Natural Results, Thoughtful Approach
Neuromodulators like Botox®, Dysport®, and Daxxify® soften lines caused by repeated facial expression — frowning, raising your brows, smiling — without altering how you look or move.
Our approach prioritizes natural movement, proportional improvement, and precise, anatomy-informed placement so you look refreshed, not “frozen.”
A Dermatology-Led Approach to Facial Aging and Early Changes
With consistent, appropriate use, neuromodulators can help limit the formation of deeper lines over time, particularly in the upper third of the face.
Neuromodulators are FDA-approved and have a long-established safety profile. In dermatology, they are also commonly used beyond these indications based on clinical expertise and individual patient needs.
Whether you’re new to treatment or maintaining your results, your care is tailored to your anatomy, movement patterns, and goals — never a one-size-fits-all approach.

How Neuromodulators Work
Neuromodulators work by temporarily interrupting the signal between a nerve and a muscle. Normally, your nerves release a chemical signal that tells muscles to contract — which is what creates facial movement.
Neuromodulators reduce how strongly that signal is delivered, so the muscle can still move, but with less force. This allows the overactive muscles that create lines to relax, while preserving natural expression.
As a result, the skin is no longer being repeatedly folded in the same areas, allowing existing lines to soften and helping prevent deeper lines from forming over time.
Our Treatment Approach
During your visit, your medically trained injector will:
- Assess your natural movement patterns and identify overactive or imbalanced muscle groups
- Recommend a conservative, individualized dosing plan
- Treat with precision for subtle, natural-looking results
- Avoid heavy or “frozen” appearances
You stay expressive — just smoother and more refreshed.

Where Neuromodulators Can Help
Upper Face (most common)
Forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet.
Neck
Vertical platysmal bands (visible neck bands).
Lip Flip
A precise amount of neuromodulator relaxes the muscle around the upper lip, allowing more of the lip to show when you smile — without adding filler or changing natural shape.
Gummy Smile Treatment
Relaxing the muscles that elevate the upper lip reduces excessive gum show while preserving a natural, expressive smile.
Jelly Roll (Under-Eye Crease)
Softens the small, rolled area beneath the eyes that appears when smiling, improving smoothness without affecting natural expression.
DAO (Downturned Corners of the Mouth)
Treating the depressor anguli oris muscle can help lift the corners of the mouth, reducing a downturned or tired appearance.
Pebbled Chin (Mentalis Softening)
Neuromodulator smooths chin dimpling or “orange peel” texture caused by an overactive chin muscle.
Masseter (Jawline Slimming or Clenching Relief)
Relaxing the masseter (jaw) muscle can reduce jawline bulk and help alleviate clenching or grinding (bruxism) and associated tension. When appropriate, the temporalis muscle may also be treated to support more complete relief.
Neck Contouring (Nefertiti Lift)
Targeted treatment along the jawline and platysma can soften downward pull and improve lower face and neck definition.
Trapezius Treatment
Relaxing the trapezius muscle can reduce tension and soften the appearance of the shoulders and neck.
Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis)
Neuromodulators can be used to reduce excessive sweating by temporarily blocking the signals that stimulate sweat glands. Common treatment areas include the underarms, palms, soles of the feet, and hairline or scalp. Results typically last longer than facial treatments, often several months depending on the area and individual response.
Neuromodulators We Offer
Botox® Cosmetic
The most widely recognized neuromodulator, with a long track record of safety and consistent results.
Dysport®
A formulation that may diffuse more broadly, making it useful for treating larger areas such as the forehead.
Daxxify®
A peptide-stabilized neuromodulator that does not contain human or animal-derived proteins. Duration of effect varies by individual but may allow for longer intervals between treatments in some patients.
All neuromodulators share the same core mechanism of action — temporarily relaxing targeted muscles to reduce expression lines — though formulation and clinical characteristics may vary.
In our practice, the focus is not on a specific brand, but on selecting the right treatment for your anatomy, movement patterns, and goals. Your provider will guide this decision to ensure the most natural and appropriate result.

Before Your Appointment
To reduce the risk of bruising, swelling, and other complications, and to support the best possible results:
- Avoid blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, alcohol, fish oil, vitamin E) for 24–48 hours prior, if medically safe
- Avoid intense exercise, saunas, or heat exposure for 24 hours before treatment
- Arrive with a clean face — avoid makeup and heavy skincare
- Inform your provider of all medications, supplements, neuromuscular conditions, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Inform your provider of any recent vaccinations or upcoming medical treatments
- Postpone treatment if you have active skin infections or feel unwell
After Treatment
To minimize side effects and ensure optimal results:
- Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging treated areas for at least 24 hours
- Remain upright for 4 hours after treatment
- Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and excessive heat for 24 hours
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours
- You may gently cleanse your face and resume normal skincare the following day
Mild redness, swelling, small injection-site bumps, or a temporary headache may occur and typically resolve within a few days.
Results develop gradually over 1–2 weeks, and in some cases up to 2–3 weeks depending on the product used. Do not assess your results early — final outcomes should be evaluated at that time, with any adjustments made only after the full effect is achieved.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Your Top Questions, Clearly Answered.
Will I look frozen?
No. Our injections are conservative and anatomically precise to maintain natural expression.
Can neuromodulators help prevent deeper lines?
Yes. Reducing repetitive movement helps slow down the development of deeper, etched-in lines.
What is collagen banking, and does tox help with it?
Collagen banking means protecting your existing collagen so skin stays smoother over time. While neuromodulators don’t create collagen directly, they help preserve it by reducing repeated creasing that breaks collagen down.
When is a good age to start neuromodulators?
There’s no set age — it depends on your skin and movement patterns. Many people start in their 20s or 30s when early lines appear. We’ll help you determine whether it’s the right time.
Is “neuromodulator” the same as “neurotoxin”?
They refer to the same category of FDA-approved treatments, but “neuromodulator” is the more accurate and patient-friendly term. “Neurotoxin” is outdated and can sound alarming.
All product names, logos, and brands are property of their respective owners. All company, product, and service names used are for identification purposes only.
When will I see results?
Most patients see their final outcome within 7–14 days.
How long do results last?
Typically 3–4 months. Daxxify may last longer for some patients, but duration varies. For the most consistent results, we suggest scheduling treatment quarterly, ideally before the neuromodulator has completely metabolized.
Can I combine tox with fillers or PRF?
Yes — combination treatment can support more balanced, harmonious results.
Are neuromodulators safe? Do they contain harmful chemicals?
Neuromodulators such as Botox®, Dysport®, and Daxxify® are FDA-approved medications with a well-established safety profile when administered by trained medical professionals. They are made from highly purified botulinum toxin type A and are manufactured under strict pharmaceutical standards.
Each formulation contains small amounts of stabilizing ingredients, such as proteins or peptides, to maintain product integrity. These are carefully regulated and commonly used in approved medications. Neuromodulators do not contain harmful or unsafe ingredients when used as directed.
The doses used in dermatology are very small and remain localized to the treatment area. When administered appropriately, neuromodulators are considered safe and effective for reducing dynamic facial lines.
