Dr. Shannon Ginnan
Dr. Shannon Ginnan grew up in a small rural town in upstate New York and became interested in Medicine at a very young age as part of his love of athletics and the performance of the human body. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Binghamton University in New York and received his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. He went on to study medicine at SUNY Upstate Medical University at Syracuse and did his internship at a community hospital in Vestal New York.
Feeling that the traditional Western Medicine paradigm was failing many of the patients he saw in the hospital, as well as his own chronic health issues at the time, Dr. Ginnan moved into the realm of aesthetics for the next several years, where he became the Medical Director of one of the largest MedSpa’s in the country. As a speaker for multiple laser companies and a certified injector trainer for Allergan, Dr. Ginnan has evaluated new technologies and trained hundreds of physicians and health care practitioners over the years in the safe and effective use of aesthetic devices and injectable treatments. He also served 2 years as the Chair for the Research and Development committee for the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, overseeing the disbursement of the Society’s funding for worthy Laser medicine research.
Dr. Ginnan also studied acupuncture in 2005 at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, and went on to further his education with a Fellowship program through the American Society of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine and received his Board Certification with that Board in 2009.
In 2012 Dr. Ginnan opened his own practice combining Aesthetics with the practice of Functional Medicine, helping people to function at their highest genetic potential within the context of their environmental limitations and stressors. Dr. Ginnan has seen how the traditional medical and pharmaceutical paradigm has let down so many of his patients, and he tries to help them heal and receive better aesthetic results through proper diet, supplementation, and lifestyle modification.
In his spare time Dr. Ginnan enjoys cross-training, movies with his family, and playing with his crazy dog.
